Lotus Lantern Festival Day 1
Buddhist Cheer Rally, Lantern parade participants, arrayed in their traditional Korean costumes, hanbok, rally together, laughing and dancing before the lotus lantern parade begins
Lotus Lantern Parade, Hundred thousand Lotus Lanterns brighten the heart of Seoul! Behold a brilliant ocean of light from the countless handheld lanterns and the grand ornate lantern floats in the festival’s main attraction
Post-Parade Celebration, Following the parade, participants and spectators come together to end the festivities in a spirit of dedicating one’s merits to others. Buddhist entertainers put on a show and the audience gets into the act, dancing hand in hand. Fondly called “Flower Party” by foreigners, it is a joyful night with a rain of flower petals from the sky climaxing the festival)

Lotus Lantern Festival Day 2
Traditional Cultural Events, Visit the various booths to make lotus lanterns, create Buddhist art, try temple food and play traditional Korean folk games
Cultural Performances, Traditional Korean folk performers and performers from Asian Buddhist communities put on a show to make you smile
Final Celbreation (Yeondeungnori), The grand finale of the festival features a mini lantern parade around Insa-dong accompanied by the singing and dancing of the Lotus Lantern Performance Groups

Meet a guide at hotel lobby - Seoul Museum of History captures the traditional culture of Seoul. Vestiges from the prehistoric era to modern Seoul are on display - Gyeongbokgung Palace was the first royal palace built by the Joseon Dynasty, three years after the Joseon Dynasty was founded - Insadong Antique Alley is famous for streets filled with the flavors of tradition and is universally well-loved by tourists - Bukchon Hanok Village, Surrounded by Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine, Bukchon Hanok Village is home to hundreds of traditional houses called 'hanok' that date back to the Joseon Dynasty - Myeongdong Street is one of the primary shopping districts in Seoul. Many brand name shops and department stores line the streets and alleys. - Namdaemun Market is the largest traditional market in Korea with various goods in store - Back to hotel
